Amazing service…

I now have a brand new pair of Asolo Fugitive Gtx Walking boots, thanks to the fantastic customer service I received from Russell at Field and Trek in Cambridge.

The stitching had began to come apart on my Asolo Flame walking boots and as they were just under a year old I decided I would return them to Field and Trek.

At the best I expected they would send them away for re-stitching.

Imagine my amazement when they offered me a refund or a new pair of boots.

As they had no Asolo flames in my size I decided to try the Asolo fugitive and found them a good fit maybe even better then the flames.

As they were on sale I even had some credit so used that to get 2 new pairs of socks, they even took 10% off the price of these …. so it cost me a total of ₤1.50 for new boots and 2 pairs of smart wool socks.

Now I need a good walk to test them out 🙂

A huge mistake….

At times I can be very indecisive and there has been times when I have lived to regret the choices I have made.

At the moment I am thinking I have just made the biggest mistake of my life

As most of you know I long to live in Downham Market, how I ended up here is another story.

A friend of mine has recently bought a house with her partner after living in a housing Association house in Downham market for many years.

Before they informed the council that they would be moving out they offered to do an exchange with me to get me into Downham and into a nice house.

This was about 4 months ago, Andrew was still working then and would have had no way of getting to work and Matthew didn’t like the idea of yet more change and he takes his GCSE’s this year.

The timing was just wrong.

Part of me just wanted to go ahead and do it but part of me thought how can I upset my boys  again after all they have had to deal with over the last few years.

So I reluctantly turned the offer down, everyone at work thought I was mad and I think I maybe was !!

My friends have handed their house over to the council now and I cannot help thinking that I made a huge mistake.

Andrew has now lost his job, so getting to work would have been no problem for him and maybe I could have dealt with Matthew.

Basically I think I have just lost my  best chance of ever getting into Downham Market

Been a while….

Since I made some muffin’s.

So today I decided it was time to try my new silicone muffin tray out.blog 001

No liners required it says but I was wary, as my last attempt at using no liner ended in disaster.

To be on the safe side I decided to use liners for half the muffin’s , the other half I just sprayed the cups with oil and added the mixture straight into the cup.

The results were great and the silicone tray is totally non-stick.

Wanted to make lemon and poppy seed…. but had no poppy seed’s so made nut and cranberry instead ,  results…… totally delish
