A Result….

Last week much to my delight I had a massage booking from my advert in the local parish magazine.

My client was so pleased with the massage that she re-booked me for today as well.

The lady concerned has had her ankle in plaster for 10 weeks.untitled2

To get around she has been using a Zimmer frame and crutches, which had given her a sore back and shoulders.

So my job was to give her a back massage which would hopefully ease the tension, much to my delight I did a great job and it worked a treat.

She was very happy, which made me very happy.

So if your suffering with a sore back and shoulders, having a regular massage does help and if your house bound don’t forget I can always visit your home.

Some of my other clients are Gardeners, Builders, or play squash, or even a musical instrument and they all benefit from a regular massage.

Rain and Sunshine…

Only a small number of walkers turned out for today’s walk.

Some people are on holiday, the others put off by the forecast of bad weather.

So it was four female walkers that set off from Pakenham at 9.30 am.walk 008

Within an hour it was raining and by lunch time we looked like four drowned rats.

After eating our lunch in the church porch at Langham ,we found a pub with a roaring wood burner.

Where we enjoyed a coffee while getting ourselves warm and dry by the fire.

By the time we left the pub the rain had stopped and we enjoyed the last 7 miles in lovely sunshine.

Thanks to Debbie who was the leader for this 15 mile walk.

There was one casualty ..  my phone must have somehow got wet and will not work now.

Feels like I am cut off from the outside world 🙁

Luckily I do have a spare phone at home I just hope it still works .

Reaching another Goal

Today I woke to find the weather was just perfect for running.6mile

Warm ,cloudy, a little sun and a cool breeze.

Perfect for doing my 6 miles.

I so wanted to do this before I go to meet Geoff in lima and time is running out.

So this morning while sat in the hairdressers I was thinking about nothing but running.

My hair dresser was not pleased when she found out I was planning to run after an expensive hair do 🙂

Now I can happily say I did the 6 miles easily in 1 hour and 5 min’s and it feels fantastic.

My treat for doing this was a bacon lettuce and tomato sandwich which has never tasted better

3 weeks……

The plans for my big adventure in Peru have changed.

I will now be staying out there an EXTRA week and flying back with Geoff on the 5th July.

Geoff sprung this idea to me on Thursday night …..image

It threw me into a blind panic as I imagined if I could not get the extra week off Geoff  would  just abandon me in the middle of Peru and leave me to find my own way home 🙁

All is well though as I have the extra week and have now changed the flights too.

The plan is to go to Bolivia after the Inca trail and bike down the Road of Death although I am not sure I will be going at 80km per hour.

The only sad thing is that I will now be away for my sons 21st birthday…  but as he said we can celebrate that any time  🙂

Another walking Sunday

Sundays walk was from Saffron Waldron.

A small group of 7 this week, which meant we did the 15 miles in a very good time.walk 002

This time I did remember my sun cream, good job too as it was a boiling hot day.

Could of done with my hat too 🙂

I so enjoy the rolling Essex countryside.

These walks would be too far for me to go to from my own house, another reason why I appreciate being in Cambridge at the week-ends.

Everyone enjoyed a muffin with their lunch 🙂

I was back in Cambridge in time to enjoy the late afternoon sun down by the river.

Where the rest of the muffins were polished off.

Next Sunday will be my last walk for a few weeks due to my up coming adventure 🙂

Which one is mine ????

Geoff went to the Panama hat factory today in Cuenca.

Now he is really teasing me… one of the hats on the table below, he bought for me ,but which one was it ?

15 days till I get out to Lima and find out which hat is mine 🙂
