So Many Blog Posts.. So Little Time

Tomorrow I will have no electric for most of the day,as I am having a new bathroom put in by my Housing association…. Longhurst homes.

Also having a new electric fuse board …..

Would much rather they come and fix my garden fences that got blown down in January, when we had those bad storms..

Especially when I had spent last summer painting all my fences and making my garden look nice.

Even better would be some decent heating…. or just efficient heating.

When your electric bill is £450 you expect to be warm.

I have been complaining and some nice man is coming to see me tomorrow to explain how to use my heating, we shall see if he tells me anything I don’t already know…..

Son is now tapping me on my shoulder , so I have ran out of time……

Amazing Grace ….

At the week-end we went to see the film  Amazing Grace , I didn’t know what the film was about but when I asked got told it was all about William Wilberforce

I then had to admit I had never heard of him……..

Some times I wonder if I learnt anything at school…..

Anyway today I decided to ask around at work , and see how many people had heard of William Wilberforce, not one person I asked knew who he was , which made me feel much better…….

People from Cambridge have obviously had a better education than the people in Downham Market.

Truthfully how many of you  had heard of William Wilberforce ????

Not Often Seen……

A photo of me in my WRAF uniform, taken in 1978….

I was in the WRAF till 1986….. My first posting was too RAF Finningley near Doncaster, infact I arrived there with another girl to find we were One of the first WRAF at that camp….

My next posting was to RAF Kinloss in Scotland…

My biggest regret… living in Scotland and not being into walking at the time, what a waste…Hopefully one day I will get the chance to walk in Scotland

What Does a Girl do When she has Blisters….

Goes Barefoot dancing at the Junction in Cambridge for starters….

Then goes shopping for boots and bags….. but not the Girlie type , walking boots and ruc-sacs.

Must have drove the poor lad mad in Field and Trek…. but in the end I decided on the Asolo Flame Gtx.

Tested the boots and my heel out yesterday on a quick 6 mile walk and both felt fine, so wont be long till I am back into my training.

Good job really as we are off to french Alps on 20th April.

Ruc-sac was easier to buy, ended up with a mac-Pac light 45.

There will be plenty of room for all my kit for Corsica, although I am being watched carefully to make sure I pack real light and he does mean light…..

Almost forgot I also got a Crag Hoppers light weight fast drying Corey Jacket, so now its beans on toast for the rest of the month…..

Welcome….

I would like to say a big Hello to James Higham hope you visit often 🙂

Should also say hello to Newmania I go to his blog for a laugh…

“One day, a man came home and was greeted by his wife dressed in a very sexy
nightie. “Tie me up,” she purred, “and you can do anything you want.”
So he tied her up and wrote his blog”

 this also came from him…

“This is unbelievable and you have to try it. ! Put the mobile number of your wife or husband ,for example ,into the site and you can locate the actual place the phone is located ..usually this will be where they are of course. Its incredibly quick. Just put the country, the first four digits in the first box and the rest in the second box. The satellite gets there in about twenty seconds. I `m not sure if its legal or what system it is working off so do it quickly .
I was amazed to see where my wife was and I bet there will be a few surprise .”
