Been looking for one of these for months
Finally stumbled across one last weekend in Cambridge.
Added a few photos tonight and rather like it 🙂
When my boys moan about having to do certain things, I always tell them, as they get older they will often have to do things they don’t want to do.
So to set them an example I am about to do something I don’t really want to do.
Although there is a possibility that I might actually enjoy it.
On Wednesday I am going into work to get trained on the tills BUT that does not mean I am giving up my fish job.
Its so exciting to see the apples starting to grow, on dwarf trees only planted last year.
My gooseberry bush is full of berries too.
I will cover it with netting soon to stop the birds from pinching all the fruit like they did last year !
Think I have enough Rhubarb to make Geoff a Rhubarb crumble at the weekend.
The Blueberry bush that I thought had died because I watered it with tap water seems to be doing fine and I might get some berries if i am lucky.
Now, dare I say this , we could do with some rain but just enough to water the gardens 🙂
After the disaster with my heat rash or allergy last weekend I am now better prepared for the heat … I hope ! We made a visit to Advanced performance this morning and was well looked after, getting lots of advice on trail shoes. They had a good stock, where due to there gait analysis we were able to purchase the shoes most suitable for our feet and way of walking. I settled on a pair of bright red mizuno trail shoes, as usual I had to have mens shoes and in a size 9 1/2, so they don’t look that elegant but then I am after comfort rather than looks. Unfortunately they have a great selection of running gear too and I could not resist new shorts and a very girlie bright pink t – shirt, along with new running socks 🙂 Of course all this kit will make me run much faster when I do my Race for life event in July Later in the day we visited the new Cotswold shop in Cambridge , this was a big mistake ! I have been thinking about upgrading my day Ruc-sac for a while , I was after a more up to date one which meant it would be lighter and have the new air flow system, making it cooler. I found one today that I really liked so now I am the proud owner of a Deuter Spectro AC 28 , in Red to match my shoes of course 🙂 So with a selection of walking socks and some Clarityn Allergy tablets I am well prepared for tomorrows walk 🙂 I will be eating baked beans for the next few weeks but that fine as its only 3 weeks till we go to Italy and I still have a little bit more weight to loose 🙂 After suffering over the weekend with a very bad case of heat rash round my ankles. Which I gather is quite common in walkers. I have decided that I must get myself some walking shoes rather than boots ASAP. Now a days walkers tend to wear trail shoes for walking and most never go back to boots. I also think i should change my socks to the light weight walking socks. So the search begins 🙂 I just found my way home from Ashton Keynes For someone that cannot navigate that’s very impressive 🙂 Would never be able to do it with out my Tom Tom Who ever invented them deserves a gold medal !! Now its bath and bed, more about my weekend of walking and photos to follow 🙂
