A training week-end ahead……

Got my train ticket , just got to pack, then tomorrow Geoff and I are off to Les Gets again for another training week-end.

Will be the last chance we get to train in the mountains before our Corsica trip.

Not sure what Geoff has in store for me this time but I will find out soon enough.

With my new Air force one socks foot cream and refreshing foot balm all from backpacking light. My feet have never felt better .

So here’s to a good three days walking in the mountains, with lots of photo’s to look forward too…….

Brave or just barking mad……

Today was the official opening of the Jesus Green outdoor pool in Cambridge.

Open may to September. its the longest outdoor pool in the Country

100 yards long, 15 yards wide, depths of 1.2m – 2.5m – 1.2m

A few brave souls turned out on this cold damp day, to christen the pool,

The water temperature was 12 deg

Who was first in ???

Geoff of course, lucky for me I had not taken my costume to Cambridge this week-end.

My new toy……

Geoff added a new countdown widget to my blog…..

Its a very clever little widget and can be found here

Its suddenly made me realize how time is flying by….

I only have 34 days till we go to Corsica….
It seems so very close, and I can only hope I will be fit enough.

Talking to a Anne about being fit enough, she replied ” sally you would do it even with a broken leg ” 🙂

You heard it here first…..

While Geoff and I where at The Internet world show, we visited the Ad-wrap stand.

Could be a great way to get free use of a car, if you live in the right place at the right time 🙂

We then went to Loic’s talk on blogging and saw his lovely red Apple

Geoff then connected the two together and thought why not Ad-wrap laptop.

Later we mentioned the idea to Loic, who thought it would be a great idea, especially for his Les Blogs conference’s.

Geoff thought it would have been a great idea for his Our Social World conference, where Loic had been one of the speakers.

Maybe I should run a little business doing it!

A Flatlands walk…..

Two years ago this month I met up with a small group of people I had made contact with through the RA forum.

We met at Graffham water for our very first walk, since then we have been meeting up every two or three months.

We always post our walk on the RA forum and have had many people join us for the occasional walk.

Infact this is how I met Geoff, Caroline and Ellee they came to a walk we were doing from Castle Acre.

Little did I know then how much my life was about to change 🙂

This Sunday we shall be meeting at Fulbourn to celebrate our anniversary with a nice 14 mile walk.

If anyone would like to join us your more than welcome too.

Another walking Wednesday…..

Today saw us going up the coast toward Snettisham.

Geoff is leading  a walk for the Simply social ladies, and we were off to check out part of the route and parking…

Took a route from Snettisham village across the fields and through the woods , meeting up with the coast. We then walked to Hunstanton along the coast.

Along the coast we came across a stranded seal pup that was not very happy, so we stopped off at the sealife center and reported it hoping they would go and rescue the poor thing.

From Hunstanton we walked to old Hunstanton, hoping to walk through Hunstanton park but we discovered that its only open to the public on Thursdays……So we followed the road round to Ringstead where we picked up the Peddars way which took us all the way back to Snettisham.

A grand total of 30km, walking  time was 5 hours and we just beat the rain…..
