As most of my readers will know Geoff and I like to swim at the Jesus Green out door pool during the summer months and also enjoy a swim in the River Cam too.
When it gets to this time of year we start to miss the swimming.
So this year Geoff decided to Join Greens health and fitness club which has a really lovely pool with a sauna ,steam room and hot tubs.
Tonight we went for our first visit, I got in using one of Geoff’s many free guest day passes,with out a guest pass its £10 for a day visit 🙁
It was heaven and so relaxing, I can see I will want to go every day I am in Cambridge.
My own gym at home does not have a swimming pool and I resent having to drive there so I can see when my own membership runs out I may well Join greens instead and enjoy it with Geoff 🙂
James durring the winter we just take a dip in the river on new years day 🙂
Ellee…Greens do offer there own massages but is not the kind of place i want to work… I am wanting to stick to home massage and not get into salon work 🙂

After nearly 30 years without exercise I bit the bullet a while ago and joined an Esporta health centre in Romford. One of the selling points was the pool, sauna and steam room… utter bliss!
Just a thought, why don’t you ask about doing massages there at weekends. 🙂
I wish we had a gym like Greens in Ely, it would be my first choice. However, I do go there regularly to hold business meetings in their restaurant as the food is so good and there is free parking. So if you see me there one day with the CEO of Headway, you must come and say hi.
onethoughtfulwoman….. no where like this in kings lynn that i know of and certainly not in walking distance of where we live ,which is the big downfall ,as i want to go everynight but am put off going by the driving and cost of fuel.

I agree it is truly bliss, really clean and its been open for like 8 years so it bodes well. The pool is just at the right temperature no white fingers there!
Very nice to. I love steamey saunas and when I learn to swim better would appreciate somewhere like this to go to.
