At last I have finished reading my book Stolen by Lesley Pearse.
I really enjoyed it but do wish it didn’t take me so long to read a book, I started this one in August π
I just find it hard to sit still for longer than half an hour.
Anyway a friend has sent me another book to read, One day by David
Nicholls, so this is packed in my bag and coming to Les Gets with me tomorrow.
I just hope my friend realizes it could be 6 months before she gets her book back π
Although the snow is very poor at the moment so maybe there will be tons of time for reading π
Watch out for the photo’s π
For a while now I have been going to Yoga twice a week
Although I can see that it has been good for me I do find it very slow and always come home feeling very cold π
This week I saw an advert for a beginners running course and I was very tempted.
After ringing for more information I was even more tempted π
So my form and money have been sent and hopefully I will have a place for 6 weeks from 26th January.
I think it will be great fun and a good way to meet some new people
After that I may progress to the Lynnsport Ladybirds π
Matthew’s Girlfriend was 18 over the weekend, so a good excuse to bake another Giant cup cake.
This time it was a chocolate cup cake with a topping and filling made from chocolate and fresh cream
The filling stayed all gooey and was totally divine π
BTW the giant cup cake is aprox 25 times bigger than a normal cup cake.
Finally, after waiting since October, thanks to Matthew, I now have a Cath Kidston Apron.
It is not the one I originally wanted but this one is just as nice.
Next on my wish list is..ΓΒ a tea cosy π
For Christmas Geoff’s son, Steve and his girlfriend Renata, gave meΓΒ a JML Giant cup cake mould
If you know me you will realize this was a perfect gift for me π
I didn’t have to wait too long for an excuse to bake one, as Emily’s 21st was just round the corner.
Its a whopper of a cake, taking a 1lb of sugar, butter and flour along with 8 eggs π
It was such fun to bake that I am about to make another one !
Some time ago I was about to buy a knitted cup cake
When I suddenly decided, why not knit my own
So a search for the right pattern began, I finally found this fabulous book on amazon. called Knitted cakes ( twenty to make)
In it I found just the patten I was looking for and decided to knit it for Emily’s 21st birthday.
It was great fun to knit and to give π
A Little girl I know is desperate for the Doughnut but that shall have to wait till after my skiing holiday π
Mia, Geoff’s daughter in law, makes the most fantastic ,unique, stone pendants.
I am very lucky to own 2 of these pendants.
One was a Christmas gift, made from the beautiful river stones I loved so much in China.
All the pendants are individually handmade, one-off pieces – strung and knotted with strong thread in complementing colours.
Now you could own one too , and I could not think of a better gift for your loved one on Valentines day π
