Clearing my Head…..

just lately my head has been buzzing.

I have been driving myself mad ,thinking about nothing but houses and moving to Downham Market.

On top of this I worry about my boys, its very stressful with one not having a job and the other getting ready to leave school too.

For now I have decided I should stop thinking…

I should be grateful  I even have a house, there was a time when I was being threatened with having to live in a bed and breakfast miles and miles away.

That would have meant loosing my job too.

To help clear my head I have booked myself in for An Indian head massage next week at college.

Not only will it clear my head but I will also get to see what the course is like, in case I decide to do it next year 🙂

An Unexpected walk….

Today I met up with Geoff in Downham Market.

He finally got me to go and look at some houses at a new development called Winnold’s Green.

which is in a brilliant location right next to the Train Station.

The showroom was very nice but the size of the third bedroom was tiny, far too tiny for a 6ft teenage boy.

I also became very aware of the fact that I will never be able to afford to buy a house.

A fact I did all ready know !!

I would need to earn at least four times more than I already earn in a year, something that I think is just impossible.

Impossible partly because I would die if I had to work that many hours at Tesco and partly because I want a life and have no desire to spend my life at work.

I work to live not live to work !!!

So I expect I will buy my new car… help my son out by giving him my old car, and then just hope that maybe one day I will get a housing association house in Downham Market

The rest of our day was spent doing something I love…. walking.

We walked along the river from Downham market to Denver sluice.

Called in at Denver Windmill , carried on through Denver village before taking a footpath back into Downham Market.

A great way to end the afternoon. 🙂

New Plans…..

After my Depressing and Disappointing day last week , I decided not to dwell on it and make some new plans.

Firstly I let my son withdraw his life’s savings, with this he has re started his driving lessons and booked his test for 19th May.

I have to believe that a miracle will happen soon and he will get a job.

My other son decided to book his interview for the Army, after I told him he could imagesstill go to the college open day.

I explained to him that he should have more than one plan.

So… I have started my search for a new car again.

I don’t want much just the cheapest car with highest mileage, cheap car insurance, and tax. 🙂

My favourites at the moment seem to be the Vauxhall Corsa and the Renault Clio!!

I have my big walk coming up soon to look forward too and my Massage is slowly starting to take off which is fantastic.

So nothing to be depressed about …. for this week anyway  🙂

A Real Walk…

Today Mick and Gayle set out on their journey to Land’s End.

Once there, they are going to set off on their LEJOG walk, that’s Land’s end to John O’ Groats.

A total of 1252 miles in three months.

So far they have raised £ 3,258.00 I know they would like to make that £ 4.000.00

If you would like to support them you can donate here.

I will be following their journey with interest.
