Packing

Not my usual kind of packing … that’s easy just a few bits of waking stuff and a spare pair of knickers.

All in a ruck-sac that I have to carry.

This time its a real holiday with a posh wedding thrown in too.

I am making the most of it and packing my whole summer wardrobe as well as a posh dress for the wedding.

I will even be taking 3 pairs of shoes.

Of course all the walking kit is coming too 🙂

Since April when I was struggling with my weight.

I have managed to loose 11lb and 3 inches off my waist.

So I feel great and just hope I don’t put the 11lb back on in one week

Anyway From Saturday you can find me here  🙂

Restaurant 22

I enjoy cooking, especially at weekends for Geoff.

Though occasionally its really nice to be taken out somewhere special for dinner.

So on Friday I found myself at Restaurant 22 in Cambridge and not our usual Indian restaurant.

The converted Victorian house seat 26 in the main restaurant with no second sitting

Amazingly it was full, the atmosphere was lovely and it was nice to take our time enjoying the food and company.

I found it very easy to decide what to have…

Salmon tartare with grilled Cambridgeshire asparagus, roast red pepper foam

Roast rump of lamb, white bean cassoulet, runner beans, cherry and rosemary stuffing

Peach and almond tart, honey ice-cream

Our Guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves too 🙂

The village with 2 mills

Last weeks walk was about surprising friends 🙂

So we turned up to walk with the Newmarket Ramblers who were walking from Pakenham, the village with 2 mills.

A watermill and a windmill.

Glad to say our friends were delighted to see us 🙂

We had a great 12 mile walk, then was lucky enough to be treated to tea and cake at the water mill.

Another great Sunday 🙂

When top level guys look

When bottom level guys look up, they see

A new photo holder

Been looking for one of these for months

Finally stumbled across one last weekend in Cambridge.

Added a few photos tonight and rather like it 🙂

As its still 4 weeks till my Race for Life event, I think I will set a new goal of £150.

Thanks to all that have sponsored me so far especially the random stranger 🙂

As for my other goal, of running the 5k in 30 mins.

Well we shall just have to wait and see 🙂
