An early Birthday present…..

Arrived in Cambridge on Friday evening to be told I had a present waiting in the bed for me!!!

Now that alone made me think I was a lucky girl but when I went to see what was waiting for me I got the surprise of my life.

In fact it took me a few moments to realize what it was,as at first all I saw was a box.

Then it sunk in and I realized it was a FUJITSU SIEMENS LAPTOP

I wanted to cry but just about managed to stop myself, then I just could not believe it was really for me.

Once I had calmed down and realized it really was for me I had the biggest smile you have ever seen, and its been there ever since.

BTW…any one who wants to send me a Birthday card ….its 4th October…   🙂

The Woburn Trek

Today I got my Walking boots on for the first time since returning from Corsica.

Geoff and I headed off down to Great Brickhill near Woburn to meet up with a couple of friends .

woburnwalkWhen we left home it was drizzling with rain and we expected to be having a very wet walk but we were very lucky and escaped the rain all day.

It was a lovely 14 mile woodland walk, the half way point was in Woburn where we got to look round the Farmers Market before eating our lunch.

In the woods we came across a nice “seat” carved out of a tree trunk ,Inscribed on the seat Geoff sitting on log seatwas…
This life is good live it gently with fire, and always with hope.

It was great to be out walking again and many thanks to Adrian for organizing and leading the walk

My Twitter’s

As James has no idea what Sally’s Twitter’s is about, I thought I had better explain.

I described what a  Twitter is in my earlier post “Twitter…..What what are you doing?”. If you want to join in the fun visit here and sign up. Once signed up add me  (sallelly)  as a friend. 🙂

Due to the wonders of Alex King and his twitter tools it will now post all my daily Twitter’s up to my blog automatically at mid-night.

I wonder if this will appear on my Twitter…….

Looking to the Future…

I have had conformation now and I start my massage course on 12th of September.

Today the books came that I need for the course,

Anatomy and Physiology for nurses and Anatomy and Physiology for Therapists.

Tonight I have put an order in for my uniform too.

All I have to do now is get my massage kit and all the stationery I need, seems like I will be doing a lot of writing on this course as well as massage.

Feeling very excited about all of this and looking forward to it very much.

Also looking forward to practicing  on Geoff too…….

A day free from stress

My mum and dad came to visit today and brought my young nephew too, they came to see how I was bearing up under the stress .

We went to Swaffham for a fish and chip lunch at Mother Hubbards , the fish and chip restaurant where my son works.

He has worked there since he was 16 and now works there full time. Walking 3 miles every day so he can catch a bus  8 miles into Swaffham.images

Have to agree with knifepainter here , the best fish and chips are from Norfolk.

We then played cards in the afternoon and had a laugh, and  I was able to forget the troubles we have at the moment.

Feeling stronger again now and realize I must at least try and fight these people who are trying to take away what is rightfully my boys.

Off to the gym now to burn off some of those fish and chips…..
