Cake toppers

As I have tried out a new recipe for the Christmas cake this year.

For a change baked a square cake instead of a round one 🙂

I thought we should have a new Christmas cake topper this year too.

So found this in Lakeland

Now I just need to find time to Ice the cake next week 🙂

Another challange !

At this time of year, like most people , I struggle with my weight.

So this year I have set myself a challenge

“not to gain any weight over the Christmas period”

It put me in the right frame of mind and this week I actually lost 2lb :-)

Ticking over

During the winter months when it’s hard to get out for a run I tend to use the gym more.

I usually use the cross trainer but have been drawn to the running machine these past few visits .

I find it’s much harder to run on a machine than outside in the lovely countryside.

But I am beginning to enjoy it and see it as a challenge.

Tonight was the hardest run yet with lots of hills thrown in and once I go up a level I never go back down 🙂

If I keep it up, by spring I could be whizzing round my usual running routes.

A walk from Moulton

Today’s walk was warmer than last weeks but due to the thaw now taking place it was also much muddier 🙂

A lovely 12 mile walk, led by Jenny and starting from Moulton.

The Autumn colours could still be seen today along with the remnants of the snow.

It’s great to have Geoff back home 🙂 and today there was much talk about the New web site Geoff is doing for the Cambridge Rambling club

Moulton Barrow walk

When we returned from our walk I was feeling rather cold, so kept my coat on while I warmed up.

Then while I was trying to do too many jobs at once I managed to burn my best Paramo jacket on the oven.

So feeling a bit pig sick at the moment 🙁 🙁
