A proud Mum and a happy Son..

As you can see my son passed his theory driving test, his first attempt at it too.
I was so nervous for him.
As he has matured he has become more confident and I am sure he will do well at what ever he decides to do with his life.
For now he is very happy working in the kitchen of a fish and chip restaurant in Swaffham. Hes worked there since he was 16 and must love it as it takes 2 bus journeys to get there.
Being able to drive will open up a whole new world for him.

Christmas carp–The European Feast

I start to get very busy at work soon.xmas

In the lead up to Christmas my fish sales will likely double.

This is due mainly to the great offers I will have on whole salmon and sides of salmon.

Another interesting thing is that this year I will also be selling fresh Carp in the week leading up to Christmas.

Carp is a delicacy for the polish at Christmas so some supermarkets will be selling it this year.which will hopefully prevent poachers depleting British rivers of carp.

I believe the polish usually like there Carp to be alive when they buy it, and would keep it in the bath tub till needed, but thankfully the ones I will be selling will already be dead.

No smoking ban in hot water….

With the colder days and nights now here, it means no more swimming for ushot tub in the river cam.

But now the nights are getting down to almost below freezing , its the perfect time to get the hot tub cleaned filled and ready for use.

So that’s what we did at the week-end and of course we then had to try it out to make sure it was all in working order.

I have to be careful in the hot tub as I have  been known to pass out if I stay in it too long….although I am perfectly suited too the sauna, which I just love.

Books galore

Today we went to the yearly warehouse book sale at Galloway and Porter  in Cambridgephoto

I was amazed , there was thousands of books and all only £1 each.

It was easy to spend your money if you like books,I came away with 10 books costing me £10 which was less than just one of the books would have been in the shops

So 9 great Christmas gifts and a book for me too.

As lady M loves books she would have been in heaven.
