My beloved bed companion decided to catch fire last night while I was heating him up…… 🙁

skinned my pheasent got 2 breast 2 legs… #
now to clear up the mess… and freeze it ready to use another day… wonder if i will like it #
nice to see Matthew sat doing school work…… in fact its amazing !!! #
time for family trip to the gym….. #
Waiting for boys to finish gym routine great to see them work together 🙂 #
off to college now feeling a bit sick after gym workout..:-( #

When Andrew had finished stroking the Pheasant I moved it to hang in the shed over night.

Then this morning I had a quick look on the Internet at how to skin a pheasant before I decided just to get on with it.

It was quite easy to do first remove head, legs , wings and tail ,then pierce the skin and roll it away from the pheasant body.

Worked very well but I did not like the strong smell and do wonder if I will enjoy eating it.

I got 2 good size breasts and 2 legs which are now in the freezer waiting for me to decide how to cook them….

Any suggestions ??????

Today I got an unusual gift…..

I have never prepared a pheasant before so should be an experience.

The plan is to remove the head, legs, tail and wings then skin it. This I am told is much better than trying to pluck it.

I will then take off the two breasts and freeze them for roasting at another time.

Its a messy job so I am told but not that hard to do……… but we shall see tomorrow !!
