Two new people on my Blog Roll, go pay them a visit and say Hello……
Newmania and James Higham…….. 🙂
Home now from a fantastic few days at Glyn Ceiriog nr Langollen in Wales.
Got 3 full days of walking in, covering almost 60 miles, and I don’t mean Norfolk miles.
First time I carried my full Ruc-sac aswell so feeling quite pleased with myself if a little tired.
Philip and children were great company and looked after us well, shame they were not up to walking with us 🙂
Before I go off for the week-end, I must say a Big Thank you to Andrew Berry from the TGO magazine , as today I received a photocopy of an article about the GR20.
It was in the November 05 issue so I have been lucky to get a copy.
I will look forward to reading it over the Week-end.
Weird Darren pointed me in their direction so many thanks to him too.
Now I must go and pack…. HAPPY WALKING !!
A Better month mile wise, covered 99 miles.
Upset because I missed a week-end of walking due to blister on heel.
I dropped and broke my pedometer so have no other information and have not replaced it yet.
I thought I would spend Easter with my boys but they did not want me.
Luckily for me someone else does want me
.
Even Better we are off to Wales to Join Philip at his cottage and do some walking….
Heel is mending nice, as you can see.
I have new Boots to try out and a new ruc-sac too
So another great week-end in store for me.
Watch this space for blogs on walks , how my heel copes and what I think to my new boots
Had a letter today from the Inspector of taxes.
Informing me that my tax code has changed and I can now earn £45 more a year before paying tax.
So that’s £5270 a year or £101 a week.
Why should I be getting this extra £45 a year , well its a laundry Allowance as I wear a uniform for work.
Wonder how many people know about this Allowance ??
Certainly no one I work with knows about it.
Thanks to a friends Husband I found out about it  but do wish I could have had the £45 in cash……..
After getting off to a scary start with them saying we will patch this up and that up, which left me with images of a patched up bathroom.
Then seeing them take a hammer and literally smash up my old bathroom.
It now seems to be turning out ok.
Old flooring was taken out and new lino will be laid, a good 1/4 of my tiles have been removed and will be replaced with a white border.
Which is far better than just patching up here and there.
It will be a few weeks till its all finished but I think I can live wit
h that.
At the moment I have a half fitted bath but no sink or Loo, thank god they didn’t take downstairs Loo out just yet.
Just hope Princebuild can cope with out me around to give them cups of tea….

The nice man from Longhurst homes did come to see me, told me nothing I didn’t already know but assures me he will look into the matter, see how old my heating system is and when its due for replacement. He also said he would get someone out to check my meter too.
So lets see if he keeps to what he said.
Funny thing was he knew all about my blog and my garden fences, can only think they  do a web search on technorati for Longhurst homes.
Tomorrow I will have no electric for most of the day,as I am having a new bathroom put in by my Housing association…. Longhurst homes.
Also having a new electric fuse board …..
Would much rather th
ey come and fix my garden fences that got blown down in January, when we had those bad storms..
Especially when I had spent last summer painting all my fences and making my garden look nice.
Even better would be some decent heating…. or just efficient heating.
When your electric bill is £450 you expect to be warm.
I have been complaining and some nice man is coming to see me tomorrow to explain how to use my heating, we shall see if he tells me anything I don’t already know…..
Son is now tapping me on my shoulder , so I have ran out of time……
