Today we turned out in the rain to meet up with the Newmarket Ramblers at Stetchworth for a 13 mile walk.
Using my new TomTom made it such an easy drive , so no more worries about not being able to find my way.
3 more people turned up including the leader thank goodness
Chris led us on a lovely autumnal walk, the rain not spoiling it at all.
At the half way point we enjoyed a break in the Reindeer pub at Saxon street.
Then the rain cleared up in the afternoon and we returned to stetchworth via Kirtling and Ditton Green.
I returned home with wet feet because once again the stitching on my Asolo Flame boots is coming apart.
These boots are only 9 months old and I had to return my last pair with the same fault.
So not sure that I will want to buy these boots again.
My photos today were taken on my new Nokia N95 and were downloaded to laptop very easy.
Geoff has put the route and his photos up on EveryTrail.
Lastly I cannot let today go by with out mentioning that 2 years ago today was when I met Geoff….. A meeting that was to change my life and a relationship that I hope lasts forever 🙂

I took this photo today with my new Nokia N 95 then posted it straight up to flickr from the phone.
Very cool and so easy to do.
The photo is part of my fish counter after I had set it up this morning.
For a bit of fun I wonder how many of you can name all or some of the fish that are in the photo.
I have lived in Norfolk for around 10 years now.
Seven years at Marham and just over Three years in this house.
Most of my readers will know that I have found it hard living here and have often felt unhappy and cut off from my friends.
Recently I made a new friend called Helen who only lives in the next village to me.
This week she came to see me with a beautiful Gift.
A flower arrangement and what makes it even nicer is knowing that she arranged it herself just for me.
So much thought, love and care was put into this gift making it that much more special.
Knowing I have made a friend here makes living here that bit nicer.
How did I meet Helen, I hear you ask, well believe it or not I met her through TWITTER.
As most of my readers will know Geoff and I like to swim at the Jesus Green out door pool during the summer months and also enjoy a swim in the River Cam too.
When it gets to this time of year we start to miss the swimming.
So this year Geoff decided to Join Greens health and fitness club which has a really lovely pool with a sauna ,steam room and hot tubs.
Tonight we went for our first visit, I got in using one of Geoff’s many free guest day passes, with out a guest pass its £10 for a day visit 🙁
It was heaven and so relaxing, I can see I will want to go every day I am in Cambridge.
My own gym at home does not have a swimming pool and I resent having to drive there so I can see when my own membership runs out I may well Join greens instead and enjoy it with Geoff 🙂
Today was the end of my 18 month mobile phone contract.
Many weeks ago I decided that I was going to upgrade to the Nokia N95 but I wondered when I would find time to make that upgrade.
I need not have worried because T-mobile phoned me this afternoon to see if I would like an upgrade.
We sorted it all out in about 10 min’s.
Nokia N95 free
200 min’s free
200 text free
and the Internet on walk and web all for £22 a month which is £5 less than what I pay now.
I just hope I like the Nokia phone as much as I like the Sony Ericson phone.
Sunday was the annual trip to Dunwich beach with the Jesus green outdoor swimming people.
As Geoff is home early from his walking trip we were able to go.
We left Cambridge as the sun was breaking through with the promise of a warm day and arrived in Dunwich in cloud and mist with the temperature barley above 12 deg.
We then joined 20 other people for a swim in the sea… passers by looked at us all in amazement.
As I am scared of this sea it was a great achievement for me to stay in and swim around for 20 min’s.
Then it was out and off for fish and chips to warm up.
The mad thing was we did a 160 mile round trip and did not go for a walk on Dunwich heath 🙁
