For all us Mum’s…..

At work today we had a fantastic display of flowers for Mothers day.

Tell me one Mother that would not like flowers for Mothers day ??

It was a joy to see so many people thinking about their Mum’s and buying flowers… so nice to see all the teenage boys walking round with big bunches of flowers too.

What a joy….

My lap top is since Geoff up graded it from Vista to windows XP for me.

I thought it still had a problem as it was very slow at my house and very fast when at Geoff’s house.xp

After doing some little test’s I realize that its only my router , when connected by cable it goes like a rocket here too.

I am delighted that DI.FM works, Youtube works and  BBC I player  also works.

No more crashing.. no more problems with up loading pictures, memory map works, and Google earth works too.

In fact its almost heaven, now I just need to get my router sorted so I can move out the dinning room 🙂

A walking Wednesday….

An unexpected treat to get out walking on a Wednesday, a lovely day for it too.

A chance to try my new boots out as well.

While Geoff was on the Train to Kings Lynn, I had parked my car in Narborough and was on the bus to Kings Lynn.

We then met up and walked along the Nar river all the way back into Narborough, a total of 15 miles.

Not bad for a mid-week walk.

Although my boots felt very comfortable ,after about 6 miles my heel was burning and I had a nice blister by the time we finished.

I am hoping this is a temporary problem and just a matter of breaking them in.

The walk route can be seen here and my blister here.

The blister has given me no problems today and I will be doing a small walk this evening… maybe in my boots  !!

Swollen balls and itching spots…

Tomorrow my 19 year old son is having day surgery for a Varicocele, other wise known as a varicose vein in his testicle.

As you can imagine he is getting quite nervous about it .

His girlfriend is going in with him to hold his hand….

It would cost me a days wages to pay for car parking so I will just collect them when he is ready to come home.

I expect I will spend the day worrying about him 🙁

My 16 year old son has not been feeling very well over the week-end.

Today he woke to find himself covered in spots and this afternoon it was confirmed by the doctor that he has got chickenpox .

I don’t make a very good nurse………
